Labour’s Spent

Gordon Brown spent ten years lecturing the British people about prudence and fiscal responsibility. However, this disguised his true record of massive borrowing and spending on a unprecedented scale that, combined with a recession that Gordon Brown said he had ensured would never happen, has left the UK with the worst budget deficit in the developed world and a higher debt burden than at any time in our peacetime history.

In short there is no money left.

Labour’s failure to face up to or even acknowledge this problem means Britain needs change. We need a Government that lives within its means, that cuts out the centralised targets and bureaucracy and which has the determination to get the public finances back on a sustainable path.
