Will calls for Colchester wide Wi-Fi

Conservative Parliamentary candidate Will Quince is calling for Colchester Borough Council and its partners to strive to incorporate a town wide wireless internet connection into its strategic plans.
In December Swindon Borough Council launched the country’s first ever free wireless internet connection – with full implementation to have occurred by April 2010. Businesses and residents can access universally free wireless internet from anywhere within the Borough and Will Quince thinks such an idea will be a real boast for Colchester’s economy.
Will Quince said:
“If Swindon have it so should Colchester. A town wide wireless internet network will make Colchester a better place to live, work and play. Residents and businesses will reap the benefits”
Conservatives on Colchester Borough Council have pledged to ensure modern methods of communications will be available throughout the town centre and, as part of promoting Colchester to residents and visitors, plan to work with Mr Quince to introduce Wi-Fi.
Mr Quince has received a warm reaction from Colchester residents and businesses & has written to the Leader of Swindon Borough Council to arrange for a meeting to establish the next steps in delivering this project.
