When Labour is a dirty word

When Labour is a dirty word

In the 1997 general election, the people elected the New Labour Party. We believed that we had elected a socially responsible Government; a Government that would focus on the NHS, Crime and Justice, Foreign Affairs, and more importantly, Education Education Education.

What we got was an entirely different story.

We got Tony Blair who seemed more interested in America and the European Union than Britain. He willingly and proactively gave away most of the rebate which Margaret Thatcher courageously battled Europe for.

We got a Chancellor, who made mistakes even the dullest economics students wouldn’t make. He publicly announced that he would sell Britain’s gold reserves and what makes it even worse, is that he sold it at the base rate, not the very high return he could have got it for.

Then we have the slimy snake of New Labour, Peter Mandelson. Twice removed from the Cabinet and his punishment? The worst punished placed upon any politician, he was made a European Commissioner. During his time in Europe, he insured that his needs were met at the expense of anyone else, an insurance that involved some rich Russian friends and aluminium.

Even in the early days of New Labour, like our economy, the incompetence of the Government was booming. But of course, as our very bright Chancellor stated, boom and bust has been abolished – something that is all too clear now.

Now we can clearly see the true colours of New Labour – there is nothing new about New Labour, as they follow the same tradition that Labour Governments always end with devaluation, a financial crises and a budgetary crises – whether it be 2008, 1979, or 1951.

We have had over 30% devaluation, and as our once Chancellor, now Prime Minister stated “a weak currency is the sign of a weak Government”.

Though the Labour Government would seriously deny this, the nature of the domestic crises in which we are suffering, is the result of; to quote Vince Cable, “New Labour’s compact with the devil”. Gordon Brown entered into a compact with the city to enable him to squander money on a series of pet projects.

We have the National Health Services, which the budget has been doubled without reform. We have the civil service whose numbers have remained unchanged since the times of British Imperialism.

New Labour has seriously mismanaged this economy on a staggering scale, and what’s more Gordon Browns master solution to our economic troubles, is to borrow our way out of debt and to legislate against recession.

But as has been stated above, we are not in a recession, Brown abolished boom and bust.

Gordon Brown may be known as an economic Guru, and he may have a PHD in economics, but Brown’s only policy is to throw money at things, and now that he has no money left he must borrow money to bring us out of debt.

He is also pathologically incapable of apologising or taking responsibility for his actions. He spreads the blame around, speaking of an international crises and America’s part. If only he had consolidated our debt into one easily manageable monthly repayment when the sun was shining.

I sense a new spirit in Britain: that the British people want this massive demonstration of incompetence to be given some enduring purpose. Hopefully, the British electorate have realised the consequences of electing a Labour Government.

The man who was Chancellor of Great Britain for ten years but always wanted to be Prime Minister. And he became Prime Minister on 27th June 2007. Yes, pinch yourself hard but you won’t wake up – Gordon Brown aka the Clunking Fist, the man who destroyed all Brit’s pensions (outside the public sector at least) and has been described as ‘unelectable’ by many became Prime Minister… without an election. A new government, with new priorities and new promises…

“I promise that we will listen and we will learn so that we can serve our country and our communities even better in the years to come”

If this man holds dear to his worlds, he will listen: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/please-go/
